A release strategy running two identical production environments, switching traffic between them for zero-downtime deploys.
Blue-Green Deployment — Maintain two identical production environments: Blue (live) and Green (idle). Deploy the new version to Green, test it, then switch the load balancer. If something breaks, switch back instantly. Eliminates deploy-window downtime and enables atomic rollback. Common in Kubernetes via Argo Rollouts or Flagger.
