IT Concept: Cgroups (Control Groups)
A Linux kernel feature that limits, accounts for, and isolates resource usage (CPU, memory, I/O) of process groups.
Cgroups (Control Groups) โ The kernel primitive underlying every container runtime. Cgroups v2 (unified hierarchy) limits CPU, memory, block I/O, PIDs, and network per process group. Combined with namespaces, they power Docker, Podman, systemd slices, and Kubernetes pods.
