1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Dargslan's website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Description of Service

Dargslan is an online eBook store that sells digital books and related learning materials. Our services include:

• Sale and delivery of digital eBooks (PDF, EPUB formats)
• Access to downloadable source code and supplementary materials
• Account management for tracking purchases and downloads

3. Digital Products

3.1 Nature of Products

All products sold on Dargslan are digital goods delivered electronically. There are no physical products shipped.

3.2 Delivery

For individual eBook purchases, upon successful payment, you will receive:

• Immediate access to download your purchased eBooks
• Email confirmation with download links
• Access to downloads for 7 days from purchase

All digital products are delivered electronically via instant download. No physical media is shipped.

3.3 Functionality, Compatibility & Interoperability

In accordance with EU Directive 2019/770 (Digital Content Directive), we provide the following information about our digital products:

• Formats: Our eBooks are provided in PDF and/or EPUB format. Some products may also include downloadable source code archives (ZIP).
• Functionality: eBooks can be read on any device with a compatible reader application. PDFs preserve exact formatting; EPUBs adapt to different screen sizes.
• Compatibility: PDF files are compatible with Adobe Acrobat Reader (free), all modern web browsers, and most e-reader devices. EPUB files are compatible with Apple Books, Google Play Books, Kobo, Calibre, and most e-reader applications (excluding Amazon Kindle, which requires conversion).
• Interoperability: Our eBooks are DRM-free and can be used across multiple personal devices without restrictions. No internet connection is required after download.
• System Requirements: A device (computer, tablet, smartphone, or e-reader) with a PDF or EPUB reader application. Minimum storage space varies by product (typically 5–50 MB per eBook).
• Updates: When significant updates are made to a purchased eBook (e.g., new edition, error corrections), updated files will be made available in your account library at no additional charge.

3.4 Personal Use License

Each purchase grants you a personal, non-transferable license to use the content for your own educational purposes. You may not:

• Share, distribute, or resell the content
• Upload to file-sharing services
• Use for commercial training without separate licensing

4. Pricing and Payment

4.1 Prices

All prices are displayed in Euros (EUR) and include applicable taxes. The price shown at checkout applies to your purchase. Subscription price changes will be notified in advance of the affected renewal, allowing you to cancel future renewals before the new price takes effect. Changes do not apply retroactively to a paid subscription period.

4.2 Price Reductions & EU Omnibus Directive

In accordance with EU Directive 2019/2161 (Omnibus Directive), whenever a price reduction is announced for any product on our platform:

• The prior price displayed alongside the reduced price represents the lowest price applied by Dargslan during the 30-day period preceding the price reduction.
• If the product has been on sale for less than 30 days, the reference price is the lowest price since the product was first listed.
• All price changes are recorded and retained for compliance verification purposes.

This ensures full transparency and compliance with EU consumer protection legislation regarding price indications.

4.3 Payment Processing

Payments are securely processed through Stripe and PayPal. We accept major credit cards via Stripe and PayPal accounts/balances via PayPal. Your payment information is never stored on our servers — all transactions are handled directly by the respective payment processor.

4.4 Accepted Payment Methods

• Credit/Debit Cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express (via Stripe)
• PayPal: PayPal account balance, linked bank accounts, and cards through PayPal

4.5 Failed Payments

If a payment fails, you will not be charged and no download access will be granted. Please contact your payment provider or try a different payment method.

4.6 eBook Subscriptions

The Monthly subscription costs €12.99, billed on purchase and automatically recurring monthly until cancelled. The Annual subscription costs €99, paid upfront on purchase and automatically recurring annually until cancelled. Its €8.25 monthly equivalent is for comparison only; it is not billed monthly. Applicable taxes are included. Compared with twelve monthly payments totaling €155.88, the annual price saves €56.88.

• Each plan permits downloads of up to 10 distinct published eBooks per calendar month. The quota resets on the 1st of each month; unused selections do not roll over. There is no guaranteed annual book total.
• A daily limit of 30 download events applies, including repeat downloads and downloads in different formats. Re-downloading a book selected in the same calendar month does not use another distinct-book selection, but does count toward the daily limit. Downloading it in a later calendar month uses a selection in that month.
• Only PDF and/or EPUB formats available for the selected book are included. Both formats are not guaranteed for every book. Separately priced extras and paid supplementary products are excluded.
• Downloaded copies may be retained for personal use after cancellation under the personal-use license in section 3.4. This does not transfer copyright or permit sharing, redistribution or resale. It does not grant perpetual download access: subscription downloads require an active subscription. The individual-purchase download period in section 3.2 does not govern subscription downloads.

4.7 Subscription Cancellation and Immediate Access

You may cancel future renewals at any time by opening subscription management in your account and completing and confirming cancellation in the Stripe billing portal. Opening the portal alone does not cancel the subscription. After cancellation, subscription access continues until the end of the paid period, subject to the same download limits. Cancellation of renewal is distinct from withdrawal or a refund request and does not itself refund the current paid period.

Before continuing to subscription payment, you must actively accept the plan terms and separately give express consent to early supply of digital eBooks and acknowledge the loss of the withdrawal right when supply begins with a download. These checkboxes are not preselected. Where the legal requirements are met, including confirmation of that consent and acknowledgment, downloaded digital content is not eligible for a change-of-mind refund. This is not a waiver of rights concerning defective or non-conforming content, incorrect charges or future subscription renewals. Older purchases without this recorded acknowledgment are not treated as having given it. See the Refund Policy or contact us.

5. Promotional Programs

5.1 Coupons & Discount Codes

Discount codes are subject to their individual terms, including expiration dates, minimum order values, and usage limits. Only one coupon code may be applied per order. Coupons cannot be exchanged for cash.

5.2 Student Discount Program

Our Student Discount Program offers a 25% discount to verified students at accredited educational institutions. Eligibility and terms include:

• You must verify ownership of a valid academic email address (e.g., .edu, .ac.uk, .ac.jp, .edu.au)
• One discount code is issued per verified email address
• Each code is single-use and valid for 6 months from the date of verification
• The discount applies to any single eBook, bundle, or series purchase
• Dargslan reserves the right to revoke codes obtained through fraudulent or non-academic email addresses
• The program may be modified or discontinued at any time without prior notice

5.3 Gift Cards

Gift card balances do not expire. Gift cards cannot be redeemed for cash, refunded, or returned, except where required by law. See our Gift Cards page for more information.

5.4 Loyalty Program

Participation in the Loyalty Program is governed by the Loyalty Program Terms. Points have no monetary value and cannot be transferred between accounts.

5.5 Affiliate Program

Our Affiliate Program allows approved partners to earn a commission (currently 30%, subject to change) on qualifying sales referred through their unique affiliate link. The following terms apply:

• Participation requires an application and approval by Dargslan; we may accept or reject applications at our sole discretion
• Sales are attributed via a 30-day tracking cookie; the affiliate whose link was clicked most recently receives the credit
• Commissions are not earned on an affiliate's own purchases, refunded orders, or orders identified as fraudulent
• Payouts are processed monthly via PayPal, Wise, or SEPA bank transfer once the approved balance reaches €25
• Affiliates may not use misleading advertising, spam, cookie stuffing, trademark bidding on "Dargslan", or self-referral schemes; violations result in forfeiture of commissions and account termination
• Affiliates are independent partners, not employees or agents of Dargslan, and are responsible for their own tax obligations
• The program may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time; accrued approved commissions will be honored

6. Refund Policy

Your mandatory withdrawal rights and remedies for defective or non-conforming digital content are preserved. Immediate delivery or purchase alone does not automatically waive those rights. We do not offer a general voluntary refund guarantee. Please see our Refund Policy for details and how to make a request.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Ownership

All content on Dargslan, including eBooks, images, text, and code, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. The content is owned by Dargslan or its content providers.

7.2 Limited License

Your purchase grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive license to use the purchased content. This license does not transfer ownership of the intellectual property.

8. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use our services for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfere with the proper working of the website
• Engage in any form of automated data collection
• Impersonate any person or entity

9. Disclaimers

9.1 Educational Content

Our eBooks are provided for educational purposes only. While we strive for accuracy, we make no guarantees about the completeness or suitability of the content for any particular purpose.

9.2 No Professional Advice

Content in our eBooks does not constitute professional advice. Always consult appropriate professionals for specific situations.

9.3 Technical Information

Technology changes rapidly. While we update our content regularly, some technical information may become outdated.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dargslan shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms for future purchases. Material changes affecting an ongoing subscription, including price changes, will be notified in advance of taking effect, with an opportunity to cancel future renewals. Changes will not retroactively alter a paid period or remove mandatory consumer rights. Any consent required by applicable law will be obtained.

12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Slovak Republic. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the Slovak Republic.

In accordance with EU Regulation 524/2013, consumers may submit complaints via the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform. Our email for ODR-related correspondence: legal@dargslan.com.

Nothing in these Terms affects the mandatory consumer protection rights granted to you by the laws of your country of residence within the European Union.
