Canonical has released Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS, the third point release of the "Noble Numbat" LTS series. This update brings updated hardware support and security updates while maintaining full ABI compatibility.
HWE Kernel 6.11
The optional Hardware Enablement (HWE) stack now ships with Linux 6.11, adding support for Intel Arrow Lake, AMD Ryzen AI 300 NPUs, and improved power management on ARM64 laptops. Desktop installs default to HWE; servers stay on 6.8 unless explicitly opted in.
OpenSSL 3.3
OpenSSL is updated to 3.3.x, bringing post-quantum hybrid key exchange (X25519+MLKEM768) for TLS 1.3 as a preview feature. Existing applications continue to work unchanged; enabling PQ hybrid requires config updates.
